Position Overview:
LK Jordan is seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to support operations at a chemical manufacturing facility in Pasadena, TX. This position is ideal for someone with strong experience in pipe fitting, valve installation, and process piping systems. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and improving the plant’s infrastructure, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair industrial piping systems, including PVC, stainless steel, carbon steel, and copper.
- Assemble, modify, and replace valves, fittings, gaskets, pumps, and pipe runs to meet operational needs.
- Interpret P&ID drawings, isometrics, and technical manuals.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on piping systems, tanks, and mechanical components.
- Perform mechanical troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades to plant utilities and process systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams on piping projects and improvements.
- Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards.
- Use hand and power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding equipment as needed.
- Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and documentation accurately and timely.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical or manufacturing plant.
- Proven experience in pipe fitting, valve assembly, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, piping schematics, and technical documents.
- Familiarity with chemical process equipment such as pumps, tanks, agitators, and heat exchangers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated areas as needed.
- Basic welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred.
