LK Jordan is currently seeking a Technical Support Specialist, who will be the main point of contact to support staff and student technology, including maintaining and managing various applications, configurations for the office and assigned campuses, and executing special projects as assigned. Schedule is Monday- Friday from 7:30am- 4:30pm. Pay rate is $26.44 hourly!

 

Essential Functions:

  • Troubleshoots and resolves escalated helpdesk tickets.

  • Provide support and oversight to the Desktop Analyst (if applicable).

  • Builds and maintains computer images for staff and students.

  • Configures new SSO deployments.

  • Manages iPad configurations.

  • Troubleshoots network connectivity issues, including but not limited to firewalls, switches, access points.

  • Technical support for Multi-function Printers.

  • Install/replace/repair security cameras.

  • Schedule warranty and vendor repairs for various equipment.

  • Understand HVAC controls and scheduling.

  • Diagnose and resolve non-recurring issues with application software and operating system; determine the root cause

  • Create and document alternative methods of completing tasks while correcting system inconsistencies to improve the department's functionality.

  • Ensure computers interconnect seamlessly with the network, including validating file, email, application, and administrative servers.

  • Knowledge of scripting methodology to install desktop applications and environment settings.

  • Install and terminate Ethernet cabling under industry standards.

  • Build/configure/maintain equipment check-out procedures and manage asset tracking software for the schools 1:1 initiative.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or recognized equivalent) required

  • Minimum five (5) years’ experience diagnosing software, hardware, and network problems required

  • Experience in an educational environment preferred

  • Experience in Mobile Device Management (MDM) required

  • Microsoft Certification, CompTIA A+, Network and/or ITIL v4 preferred

  • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check prior to starting employment. Non-refundable fee paid by employee.
