Position Overview:
LK Jordan & Associates is seeking a skilled Overhead Crane Operator to support a leading metal company in North Houston. The role requires the safe and efficient operation of overhead cranes to handle metal materials in outdoor environments, with a focus on second-shift hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate overhead cranes to lift and move metal materials within the yard and production areas.
Load and unload metal products from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on overhead crane equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following safety protocols and procedures.
Assist in tracking inventory and ensuring the accurate handling of metal products.
Collaborate with production and logistics teams to meet daily material handling needs.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Overhead Crane Operator, ideally in the metal industry or a similar industrial setting.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Strong understanding of metal materials and safe handling practices.
Commitment to following safety regulations and operational procedures.
Overhead crane certification preferred; forklift certification is a plus.
