Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual for the Deburr/Grinder/Part Marker department. This role involves preparing custom metal (primarily steel) components by deburring, grinding, and smoothing surfaces to meet quality standards prior to secondary operations. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, mechanically inclined, and committed to contributing to the production of high-quality, American-made parts in a fast-paced, advanced manufacturing environment.
Schedules:
1st shift: 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday-Friday.
2nd shift: 3:30pm to 2:00am (10 hour shift, Monday-Thursday)
Key Responsibilities:

Perform surface preparation on metal parts, including deburring, grinding, and smoothing operations.

Inspect parts visually and manually to identify surface imperfections or defects.

Select and install appropriate abrasive belts, wheels, or discs based on specifications, material type, and surface conditions.

Replace worn abrasive media as needed to maintain quality and efficiency.

Operate a variety of electric and pneumatic grinding tools.

Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards.

Collaborate with team members in the Deburr or Welding Department to meet daily production targets.

Uphold a zero-defect mindset and ensure consistent production of parts that meet or exceed quality standards.
Required Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Willingness to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Previous experience using hand and power tools (grinders, buffers, etc.) is highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for the duration of an 8-hour shift.

Capable of reaching, bending, twisting, and walking throughout the workday.

Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly.

Must have full use of both hands for repetitive motion tasks and tool handling.
