Utility

We are looking for a utility (maintenance) worker for 1st and 3rd shift in Kenosha.

BASIC FUNCTIONS

Maintain and prepare inventory for use in production.

Store inventory in assigned places

Remove finished products from production and transfer to inventory using a bar-coding scanner.

Assist in training new employees.

Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

Working knowledge of basic computer software programs (Excel, Word), OSHA regulations and standards, ISO 9001 standards.

Must have the ability read, write and speak English. 

Certified fork truck driver within the past 3 years preferred  Must have a valid drivers license. 

Basic troubleshooting skills and math skills. 

HS degree or GED a plus but not required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This position will require ongoing walking, sitting, standing and handling of production piece parts.

Lifting of product, boxes and skids is required, up to 55lbs.

The individual must be able to work under the pressure of time. Multitask oriented and ability to work with teams or to be self-governed.

Ability to pull or push 3000lbs with the use of pallet jack

TASKS AND DUTIES: 

Stage and prepare inventory using FIFO and partials first. 

Remove components, supplies, boxes and carts when the job has been completed. 

Weigh and ensure proper labeling of components after each job order is complete 

Report any out-of-spec conditions immediately. 

Responsible for inventory accuracy – ensuring components are moved and scanned properly to and from locations in and out of inventory. 

Scan and dispo production into inventory. o Participate in physical inventory checks. 

Use and maintain company equipment, (forklifts, pallet jacks, scan guns, etc.) tools and supplies in an appropriate, safe and good condition. 

Perform housekeeping functions in molding and assembly department aisle, and floor cleaning in safe manner. 

Follow work instructions, process books and quality procedure. 

Ensure all documentation is completed consistently, accurately and in a timely manner.
