The In Process Inspector is responsible for ensuring that quality standards are met to support the production needs.  This individual will bef working in a Plastics manufacturing/production facility. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Report any problem with the machine or mold to the molding technician or supervisor immediately
  • Read and follow instructions on the Q.A.R. (Quality Assurance Requirements) for each start-up
  • Performs visual and gauging inspection as noted on the Q.A.R
  • Maintain control charts as noted on the Q.A.R
  • Report any qualified related problems to the Molding Technician and Quality Auditor
  • Separate runners from production, if needed
  • Perform material handling as required for product
  • Perform material handling as required for product
  • Follow and support the Quality System Procedures and Work Instructions
  • Follow company safety rules and policies and maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor/ Molding Technician
  • Other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Math aptitude
  • Communication skills
  • Computer literate (plus)
  • Gage Training (desired)

Preferred Qualification
 Gage Training Desired

Working Environment

  • The work can involve operating powerful machinery, which requires adherence to safety standards.
  • Handling molten plastic or equipment at high temperatures can be physically challenging.
  • Workers may need to wear protective gear like safety glasses, earplugs, steel-toed boots, and respirators.
  • Potential hazards include exposure to chemicals, loud noises, and the risk of injuries from machinery. 
  • Shift work, including nights and weekends, is common because plants often operate on multiple shifts.
  • Overtime may be required during peak production periods. 
  • Two rotating days off / 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am
  • 12 hour shifts rotating days and nights with 36 and 48 work hours per/week.

Physical and Mental Requirements 

  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Requires standing, lifting, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs, and Ladders. 
  • Requires wearing personal protective safety equipment.
