Job Summary
Festival Setup & Labor Crew members are responsible for the efficient and safe setup and breakdown of festival grounds, including booths, staging, and general infrastructure. They contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and functional festival environment before, during, and after events.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with the physical setup and breakdown of festival booths, tents, tables, chairs, staging, and displays.
- Perform general manual labor tasks such as lifting, carrying, and moving equipment, including heavy items.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized festival environment by removing trash and debris.
- Follow setup diagrams and instructions to ensure proper booth and equipment placement.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of event materials and equipment.
- Maintain professionalism and communicate effectively with festival staff and vendors.
- Check external festival grounds and parking areas for trash and remove as needed.
- Assist with setting up and/or tearing down temporary structures and infrastructure.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Flexible around working days and hours, including weekends and potentially evenings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and tasks.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- This job involves heavy lifting and long periods of standing and walking.
- Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, including heat, cold, and varying levels of noise.
- Repetitive motion involved with setup and breakdown tasks.
- Stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to maintain productivity requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Background screening may be required.
Work Environment:
- Work areas are typical of outdoor festival grounds, which may include uneven terrain, exposure to weather elements, and varying noise levels.
- Worker may be exposed to noise from equipment and event activities.
