- installing and configuring computer systems;

- monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks;

- talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone;

- troubleshooting system and network problems

- replacing parts as required;

- supporting new applications;

- setting up new users; responding help desk tickets;

- working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, if appropriate);

- prioritizing and managing several open cases at one time;

- enforcing IT policy


Required Skills:

- Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, WSUS, SharePoint 2010 and Exchange 2010

- Advanced knowledge with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology

- Working knowledge of help desk ticketing software (preferably Spiceworks)

- Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, and LAN concepts

- Advanced knowledge of desktop and server hardware as well as peripherals

- Advanced knowledge of all Microsoft Office suites


Additional skills that would be preferred in the candidate would be:

- CompTIA or Microsoft certifications

- Experience in Microsoft Visual Studio, Expressions Suite, and PowerShell

- Experience with Warehouse Management Software, Vocollect Voice software and EDI functions

- Advanced knowledge of WebApp development within SharePoint 2010 or 2013

- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL 2008 through 2010
