Center Director

Our client in Camden, NJ, is seeking a Center Director to join their team. This is a Direct Hire position offering between $45,000-$50,000 a year based on experience. The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday 7AM-5:30PM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the team to maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children.
• Supervise classroom curriculum 
• Build and maintain positive relationships with employees and parents
• Participate in intake processes and parent conferences to support family engagement.
• Plan, schedule, and lead educational trips and center-wide events.
• Organize and facilitate parent meetings; promote active parent participation.
• Trach attendance, inventory management, personnel records, and petty cash handling.
• Prepare and submit required reports (e.g., vouchers, food program monitoring, child development assessments).
• Lead short- and long-term planning for center operations.
• Ensure all licenses and certifications are current and accessible on-site.
• Supervise staff and collaborate with custodial personnel to maintain the physical facility.
• Oversee ongoing curriculum development and implementation.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Family and Child Studies, Early Childhood Special Education, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods throughout the center.
• Comfortable sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
• Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds.
• Willingness and ability to sit and stand on the floor as needed throughout the day.
