Our client in Chatsworth, New Jersey is seeking a Finance Manager to join their office, located on their picturesque family run farm. This is a Direct Hire role, starting at $75,000 plus benefits. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting key areas of our clients farm with best-in-class financial analysis and analytics.

Duties
- Financial
- Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, budgets and statements to understand the financial state of the business
- Perform sensitivity analysis on financials and “what if” scenarios
- Perform data analysis and work with management on important financial decisions
- Monitor company’s financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs and maximize profits
- Work with outside accounting firm to prepare and file tax returns as well as other reports
- Perform monthly bank settlements and reconciliations
- Supervise and/or execute payroll, receivables, and payables
- Enter accounting related information into business systems, QuickBooks as well as company cloud-based file system
- Maintain the QuickBooks Accounting package (Organize Chart of Accounts, eliminate un-needed vendors, etc…)
- Reconcile fixed assets
- Capitalize certain projects and plan for Cap Ex spending
- Monthly accounting close and reporting
- Administrative
- Supervise employees who work under the Accounting Manager as well as other administrative duties
- Oversee employee benefits (Health, Profit Share, Workers Comp, Disability, COBRA, etc.)
- Administer companies’ business insurance
- Assist with ordering supplies
- Assist with other projects as needed
- New hire processing
- See ways to simplify all processes with an eye to cost consciousness
- Administer 3rd party IT support
- Compile and report on harvest results
- Ocean Spray Exhibit A reconciliation and reporting
- PDC generation
- Regulatory
- Understand the financials of a company to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standing
- Facilitate Labor Audits (OSHA, DOL, Other)
- Assist with Facility certification and audits (Fire, Camp House, etc…)
- Facilitate Insurance audits (Workers Comp, Business, Health Care Survey)
- Complete and submit other surveys required by law
- Complete and submit water reporting
- Complete and submit pesticide reporting
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or related field
- Proven accounting experience
- Professional accounting certifications, including CPA, CMA, CGA, or CA is a bonus, not required
- MBA is a bonus, not required.
