Tax Preparer/Accountant

Our Client in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Individual and Business Tax Preparer/Accountant to join their team This is a full-time, Temp to Hire position offering $35-$50 per hour based on experience. 

Job Duties:

• Ability to prepare federal, state, local municipality and City of Philadelphia tax returns.
• Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and provide guidance on tax-saving strategies.
• Research and respond to tax authority notices and client questions. 
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice.
• Handle IRS notices

Requirements:

• 4-5+ years of experience with Individual and Business Tax preparation
• Experience with Philadelphia city tax ,as well at local PA municipality taxes 
• Familiarity with Tax Preparation Software (Lacerte or similar) 
• QuickBooks (desktop and online) proficiency required
• Excellent customer service and follow up skills, able to autonomously reach out to Clients to gather information, answer questions, and ability to promptly respond to request from IRS and State entities
• Ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with the highest confidentiality and security
