Tax Verification Specialist

Our client located in Trenton, NJ has an urgent need for a Tax Verification Specialist for their office. This is full time and fully on site. Candidates with prior experience within higher education or with experience handling financial aid documentation are highly desirable for this position.

Duration: 6months – 1 year+

Rate: $24/hr.

Responsibilities/Requirements:

• Ability to analyze tax documents (1040 tax return, schedules, business documents, etc.) and other financial aid forms and compare that data to the information submitted on student's financial aid form.
• Make updates in grants software system to assist in the processing and verification of all financial aid applications and support documentation submitted to verify program eligibility.
• The ability to make analytical decisions using professional judgment skills.
• Prior experience working in higher education a plus.
