Quality Control Inspector

Our client in Hamilton, is looking for a Quality Control Inspector.  This position is temp to hire for the right candidate.  This is a full time position, Monday thru Friday.

General requirements

• Inspecting finished parts and products by using industry-appropriate methods, including measuring dimensions, and examining functionality using precision measuring instruments. 
• Inspecting incoming goods and products for mechanical and dimensional compliance in accordance with engineering and purchasing requirements. 
• Recording inspection results by completing inspection reports. 
• Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure safe operations and discard any that do not meet requirements.

Possessed knowledge

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Ability to tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall compliance and quality of mechanical parts and assemblies.
• AS9100/ISO process awareness.

Required skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Operating and maintaining various precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). 
• Attention to detail.
• Effective usage of computer and software tools.
• Ability to comprehend and analyze technical information / engineering drawings.

Special requirements

• Basic math and logical thinking to address / prevent problems and provide troubleshooting suggestions
