Part-Time Research/Editorial Assistant – $22/hr.
Location: Princeton, NJ
Compensation: $22/hour
Hours: 15–20 hours per week
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Research/Editorial Assistant to support the development of a historical biography currently in progress. This is a part-time position ideal for a graduate student or experienced editorial professional with strong research and editing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting historical and bibliographic research
- Creating and formatting footnotes and citations
- Organizing and formatting large text documents
- Performing detailed copy editing and proofreading
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially with footnotes and formatting
- Comfort navigating academic and historical resources
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Preference given to:
- Graduate students in the humanities or social sciences
- Experienced researchers or editors, especially those with a background in book publishing or long-form nonfiction
Work Location:
Work will take place either at the Princeton Public Library, or at the Princeton Theological Seminary library, depending on the day and research needs.
This role does not require specialized expertise in a particular academic field, but strong competency in research, editing, and formatting is essential.
