JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE:
The Financial Services Associate is responsible for providing Financial Aid student services by assisting students and parents regarding the financial aid process, and provides information on available programs, procedures, and in the completion of financial aid applications. He/she is also responsible for facilitating the communication flow between students and the Financial Services team, coordinating completion of required document collection, creating the student financial budget for attendance and ensuring the student is packaged to cover all their financial obligations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Sending timely and effective Financial Services communication to applied & accepted status students
• Providing Financial Services Student customer service over the phone, virtually, in-person and via email.
• Coordinating appointments with students
• Providing information to students and families regarding the options for obtaining financial aid, the process for requesting aid, and the eligibility requirements for receiving and maintaining aid. • Responding accurately and timely to inquiries, resolves problems related to transactions handled by the Financial Services department • Interacting promptly with students and/or families to follow up on missing or deficient information; relays and discusses status of application
• Providing students guidance on initiating and completing the Financial Services process on the SAINT Student portal and the applicable Federal and State portals.
• Creating student budgets
• Maintaining and updating the financial aid activity database and preparing routine statistical reports and correspondence; sets up and scheduling aid in the Student Information System, as appropriate.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Required education: High School Diploma
Associates degree
Preferred experience of 1-2 years working in a customer service role
