Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist attorney in preparing legal documents, including pleadings and estate planning documents.
- E-file documents with the Register of Wills office and Court of Chancery.
- Transcribe legal documents and correspondence accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized files and records for easy access and retrieval of information.
- Communicate with clients regarding file updates and necessary documentation.
- Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks and projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Two years experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role within a law office setting.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes related to estate and trust planning and administration.
- Proficient in clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management.
- Familiarity with legal documentation and electronic filing processes
- Ability to transcribe documents accurately with attention to detail.
- Proficient in electronic filing with the Register of Wills and Court of Chancery.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
