Our Client in Bensalem, Pennsylvania is seeking a Shipper/Receiver Assistant for their warehouse. This is a Temp to Hire role, offering $18 per hour.
Schedule : Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 5:30pm and Friday 8:00 to 3:00pm
Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:
- Safe operation of all material-handling equipment
- Inspecting forklifts daily for proper compliance with operational and safety standards
- Ensure trailers are properly docked for loading and unloading
- Ensure wheels are chocked and the trailer is safe for travel on
- Sweep up and empty trash, pick up empty pallets, make sure outside docks are clean of all debris
- Maintain accuracy of all locations in warehouse
- Make sure accurate locations are listed on the scan gun
- Properly preparing pallets of product to be shipped
- Banding, weighing, stretch wrapping, and anything else that is needed to help ensure that the shipment arrives in good condition
- Prepare appropriate paperwork for all outbound freight
- Making sure paperwork is turned in to the appropriate person in a timely manner
- Inspecting inbound freight and paperwork
- Making sure quantity is correct and has no damage, checking freeze tags as well
- Making sure all supplies that are received are delivered to and put in appropriate area
- Coordinating any returned goods per company procedures
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ of Forklift experience
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Previous Warehouse or Shipping & Receiving experience
- Capable of working independently
