Buyer & Inventory Specialist

Our Client in Newtown, PA is seeking a Buyer & Inventory Specialist to join their office. 

Pay and schedule TBD.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Create and manage production work orders
• Create purchase orders requisitions for assigned components to ensure an uninterrupted flow of materials and to support product development
• Ensure smooth operations throughout the production process.
• Review production orders and update information as required
• Manage inventory levels, conducting periodic inventory counts
• Establish safety stock levels for stock items.
• Utilize ERP system to effectively support manufacturing process and accounting requirements
• Evaluate potential suppliers based on their product quality, cost, delivery times and customer service
• Effectively communicate with suppliers and negotiate pricing
• Solve service level, pricing or logistics issues; Contact suppliers/carriers to expedite late or critical shipments
• Work on a cross functional team and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide on-time delivery, quality, and profitability goals.
• Provide support for special projects within the department by completing special assignments
• Work with Marketing to ensure orders are shipped to customers and clinicians worldwide
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent of experience and training that provides required knowledge, skills and abilities
• Minimum of three (3) years of buying experience
• Minimum of three (3) years in inventory management experience
• Global purchasing, global logistics, or purchasing in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred
