turbo machinery repair mechanic - $35-$42 Job brief We are looking for a first-class repair mechanic. We provide all repair equipment specific training. All tools needed are provided by the company. This is the perfect opportunity for someone mid to late career. Current or previous field service technicians are encouraged to apply. Veterans are also encouraged to apply. Our mechanics enjoy an excellent work environment, pleasant work hours and quality of life. Job qualifications needed •Expert in precision measurement (Machinist /Shop math). Must be able to take measurements and understand measurements < .001 •Must have component level repair of Turbo Machinery experience of at least seven years. •Minimum seven years knowledge of turbo machinery repair. •Expert in visual and dimensional inspection of associated parts. •Ability to work independently and efficiently. •Must be able to work Monday thru Friday 7am-330pm. Overtime as needed although typically rare. •Advanced trouble shooting of equipment and systems. •Basic Microsoft office knowledge. •Willing to learn and practice Six Sigma and or Lean 5S principles. Current knowledge is a plus. •Manual machining experience with lathe, mill, etc. is a big plus. Job duties •Learn repair techniques under the supervision of our senior technician. •Disassemble, clean pumps and associated parts. •Visual and dimensional inspection of associated parts. •Complete BOM of needed parts for repair. •Provide reports on as found and as built conditions. •Provide Root Cause Analysis of failure, work with engineering team as need for Root Cause Analysis of equipment. •Follow policies and procedure of associated equipment repair, and or workflow thru the shop. •Keep work area extremely clean during the evaluation and rebuild process. •Pickup and delivery of customer equipment as needed. Requirements Proven seven plus years working experience as a first-class mechanic. Proficiency in reading and interrupting equipment manuals, BOM’s, and drawings. Expert in organizational and time management skills. Must be able to pass drug screening and background check. Must be able to obtain a TWIC card. Having a current TWIC card is a plus. Must have a good driving record. High school diploma or GED.
