Our client, a Princeton University Department, is in need of a Part Time Event Coordinator/Office Assistant. This is a great “foot in the door” opportunity to work for this esteemed Ivy League University. This is a fully on site, in person position in Princeton, NJ. This position offers a pay range of $25 - $30/hr.
Responsibilities
- Event coordinating including communicating with speakers, creating, and/or distributing flyers, advertising, tracking RSVPs, online registrations, travel arrangements and placing catering orders.
- Interact with guests and manage all guest expense/reimbursements.
- Assist with email marketing, website updating, and other advertising.
- Coordinating event and conference logistics.
- Send mail out via interoffice mail, UPS or Fed Ex.
- Keep all supplies stocked, (coffee, office supplies, etc.), and handle office supply ordering.
- Provide office support including some administrative work as assigned.
Qualifications
- Position requires excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.?
- Proactive, with the ability to plan and execute projects with tact and appropriate independent judgment.
- Demonstrate the highest level of professionalism in welcoming and assisting all constituents
- Work effectively across units to assure a standard of excellence in all conferences and events.?
- Must be dependable and reliable, able to adhere to university policy, exercise good judgment and discretion in the handling of confidential information.?
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Three or more years of work experience relevant to the job responsibilities.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and
- PowerPoint. Working knowledge of Google Docs, Gmail, and other Google products is a plus.
Preferred
Experienced with university systems such as Prime, Information Warehouse, EMS, Drupal, Concur, Canvas, EMS, among others.
