Star Label Products is seeking a machine operator (experienced with rewind/inspection/slitting) who is quality focused & driven to join our growing teem. This is a full time, hourly position with plenty of opportunities for overtime. Experience is required. Applicants must know how to read, write, have basic math skills, and be mechanically inclined. Job Duties
Visually inspect labels for defects
Rewind finished product according to customer specifications and internal procedures
Splice rolls together using scissors and tape
Set up multiple slitter unit
Slit down jobs
Set up the 100% Visual Inspection Unit
Operate and calibrate table-top rewind units when needed
Splice rolls together using splicing table, following customer splicing specifications
Maintain the Rewinder using the PM schedules
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (attentiveness to paperwork)
Responsible for product segregation to avoid cross contamination
Perform other job duties as required

Must have the ability to read and write simple instructions
Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Must have strong mathematical skills (fractions, decimals, ruler)
Must have good color perception and the ability to pay close attention to detail
Must be able to work well with others and in a high-pressure environment
Must have good problem-solving skills
Must have basic computer skills
Must be able to maintain good attendance
Standard Hours: M-F 8:30 AM to 5 PM (Summer Fridays 8 AM to 4:30 PM)
