Maintenance Supervisor

Our Client in Vineland, New Jersey is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for their company. This is a DIRECT HIRE position, offering $75K per year. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Candidate must be reliable and willing to work an ON-CALL schedule.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising a group of employees in the performance of a variety of maintenance and repair tasks such as those involved in electrical work, masonry, painting, plastering, carpentry, plumbing, roofing and other work of a similar nature
• Directing maintenance warehouse operations, inventory management, written or electronic work order-system, with departmental budgeting and performs related functions
• Scheduling and approving leave requests of subordinates, setting performance standards expected of subordinates, making formal appraisals of their work performance, and determining training needs
• Cleaning of buildings and grounds and the maintenance of heating, air conditioning, or similar utilities
• Planning daily, weekly, monthly, annual work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates
• Ensuring properties are in compliance with HUD, State and Authority property inspections
• Working in an “on-call” capacity and conducting emergency “on-call” functions relating to lockouts, after-hours maintenance requests, fire alarms, security breach, elevator emergencies, etc.

Requirements:

• 5 years of experience in work involving a variety of building maintenance and repair tasks
• Minimum of 3 years of Supervisory experience
• Graduated from High School or Vocational-Technical High School or possession of an approved High School Equivalency Certificate 
• Possess and maintain a valid New Jersey driver’s license
• Certified in the inspection standards of Uniform Physical Compliance Standard (UPCS) inspections, Housing Quality Standard (HQS) inspections, NSPIRE and/or current regulations
• Demonstrate a high level of knowledge regarding lead based paint and an asbestos management plan
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
