Tax Preparer

Our Client in Blackwood, New Jersey is seeking a Tax Preparer for their office. This is a Temp-to Hire position, offering $25-$35 per hour, based on experience. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

• Preparing individual and business tax returns (federal, state, and local)
• Reviewing financial records to ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings
• Advising clients on tax strategies and deductions to maximize returns
• Staying up-to-date on current tax laws, regulations, and industry trends
• Providing excellent customer service to clients throughout the tax preparation process
• Assisting clients with audits or inquiries from tax authorities as needed
• Collaborating with other team members in public accounting to enhance service delivery
• Delivering exceptional customer service to build lasting relationships with clients

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a tax preparer or in a related field (e.g., accounting)
• Knowledge of tax software (e.g., Drake) helpful but not required
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and understandable manner
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
• Sales experience is a plus
