We are seeking an experienced Legal Assistant to join our client’s luxurious 55+ condominium association in Princeton, NJ. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in condo or Homeowners Association (HOA) agreements, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills. In this pivotal role, you will assist in ensuring compliance with community governance and help maintain the quality of life for our residents. This position offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the understanding, interpretation, and updating of the resident manual, ensuring that it reflects current policies and regulations.
  • Attend board meetings, take notes, and provide necessary legal insights to support board members in decision-making processes.
  • Review, draft, and prepare documentation related to condominium association agreements, amendments, and policies.
  • Liaise between residents, board members, and external legal counsel as necessary.
  • Maintain organized records of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Support the Board of Directors by coordinating meeting agendas, distributing materials, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Monitor changes in state and local legislation affecting condominium associations and communicate relevant updates to the board.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and provide support in communication between residents and the association.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, with specific expertise in condominium or HOA agreements required.
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology and regulations as they pertain to condominium associations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal research databases.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive attitude with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of customer service for residents.
