Our client in Moorestown, New Jersey is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join their team! This is an amazing full-time, DIRECT HIRE (NOT contract to hire) opportunity to work for one of the world’s largest international integrated oil and gas companies with businesses located in over 30 countries! Salary: $90,000/year with a 10% bonus

 

Summary: The Sr Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting in the preparation of Company financial statements and related schedules, performing analytical reviews, and generating financial reports as needed.

 

Your responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare monthly financial statement pages
  • Review and approve monthly volume analysis
  • Assist in the preparation of account finalizations
  • Approval of monthly journal entries presented by LAFE
  • Prepare monthly reconciliations of bank statements to general ledger accounts
  • Complete United States Department of Commerce and Energy Financial reports
  • Assist in annual audit of financial statements, including footnote preparation
  • Assist with preparation of monthly management reports including analysis and reconciliation of various general ledger accounts
  • Coordination of fixed asset review and related write-offs

·         Preparation of daily management reports

·         Coordinate billing of real estate tax adjustments due to increases/decreases in billed amounts

·         Monitoring of payments and billings related to State violations.

·         Ensure dealer chargeable items are properly billed to dealers

  • Preparation of annual financial statements and notes relate to Retirement and Profit-Sharing Plan.

·         Update of the fixed asset subsidiary ledger for capital expenditures, depreciation, dispositions, retirements, and impairment.

·         Reconcile the Company’s general ledger to the fixed asset subsidiary records. Prepare the fixed asset balance sheet for reporting purposes.

·         Analyze and approve accruals related to delivery expenses.

·         Analyze rental income, gas taxes payable and maintenance expenses. Research as required and approve adjusted entries/accruals as needed. Contact Real Estate department personnel regarding inconsistencies in rental/real estate tax/epos maintenance billings.

·         Detailed analysis and approval of schedules and journal entries related to real estate taxes. Pass through tax refunds to appropriate dealers, billing of fees, calculation of prepaid amount and journal entries to record expense and accruals. Close work and communication with Real Estate department related to various real estate tax bills by location.

·         Detailed Review environmental remediation payments and verify with Department of Maintenance and Environmental for propriety. Complete journal entries to update the general ledger with revised remediation liability accruals monthly.

·         Obtain information from Department of Maintenance and Environmental personnel regarding removal of equipment from leased locations being returned to landlord. Prepare journal entries to accrue liability and monitor payments made.


Requirements:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree, 2 years of related experience or a combination of both.
  • CPA certification is a plus!
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
