Licensed Water & Wastewater Operator
Salary: $49,362.83 – $86,558.02 (Depending on Experience)
Location: Bossier City, LA
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Call Required
MUST be a Licensed Water & Wastewater Operator.
The Water & Wastewater Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of the water supply, wells, wastewater collection, and treatment systems. This role performs and/or oversees Operator I and II staff in daily activities to ensure compliance, safety, and reliable service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections of major water and wastewater system components.
Perform required analyses on water supply and wastewater discharge; accurately record and maintain all regulatory data.
Complete utility locates and perform reads/re-reads as needed.
Execute repairs on water and sewer lines, mechanical systems, and electrical equipment when within capability; notify Director when outside contractors are required.
Maintain proper sewer flow and clear blockages; request contractor assistance when necessary.
Keep premises clean, organized, and safe.
Perform preventive maintenance per the Operations & Maintenance SOP.
Maintain all job safety standards and use required PPE at all times.
Work collaboratively within a team environment and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
Requirements
Active Water & Wastewater Operator License (Required)
Strong knowledge of water and wastewater system operations
Ability to perform mechanical and basic electrical repairs
Willingness to work on-call and respond to emergencies
Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
