Production Control Leader
Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $105,000/year
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Control Leader to oversee production activities, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. This role is essential in leading production teams, managing schedules, coordinating material flow, and implementing process improvements to optimize operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Production and Scheduling:
Develop and maintain production plans, schedules, and workflow to ensure timely and efficient production.
Coordinate production schedules with various departments to optimize resources and meet deadlines.
Team Leadership:
Supervise, mentor, and train production staff, setting clear performance goals.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure collaboration and effective production outcomes.
Material and Inventory Management:
Coordinate the flow of materials and manage inventory levels.
Ensure sufficient supplies are available to meet production requirements.
Process Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards.
Apply production planning methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, MRP, and Kanban to optimize operations.
Performance Monitoring:
Track production metrics and performance.
Troubleshoot issues and make adjustments as necessary to keep production on schedule.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required.
3–5 years of experience in production control within a manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of production methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, MRP, and Kanban.
Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
