Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and related financial functions for our organization. This role ensures accurate financial records, compliance with standards, and supports strategic decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and examine accurate financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.

  • Organize, analyze, and maintain comprehensive financial records.

  • Conduct internal audits and reviews to ensure data accuracy and compliance.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to financial health and strategic goals.

Budget and Forecasting:

  • Assist in developing and managing the annual operating budget, collaborating with department heads to finalize their budgets.

  • Participate in the forecasting process, creating future financial projections based on historical data, market trends, and strategic objectives.

  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and recommendations for corrective action.

Cost Allocation and Management:

  • Implement and manage cost allocation methodologies to accurately track and report departmental and project expenses.

  • Identify opportunities to optimize or reduce spending to improve profitability.

Financial Strategy and Capital Investment Support:

  • Provide financial insights to support strategic planning and capital investment decisions.

  • Assist with evaluating potential investments using metrics like Net Present Value (NPV) and Internal Rate of Return (IRR).

  • Help manage banking and investment relationships as needed.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across the organization, including market, credit, operational, and liquidity risks.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and internal controls.

  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws, financial reporting standards, and industry regulations to ensure compliance.

Advisory and Business Support:

  • Advise management on financial implications of business decisions, growth opportunities, and strategic initiatives.

  • Provide insights on cash flow management, inventory management, business financing, and other operational aspects impacting growth.

  • Conduct financial analyses and business valuations as needed for strategic planning purposes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • 10 years of progressive accounting experience, with strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.

  • CPA preferred but not required.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to collaborate with management and contribute to strategic decision-making.
