AP/Payroll Clerk
Location: Bossier City, LA
Pay: $17/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
Type: Temp-to-Full-Time (TTFT)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AP/Payroll Clerk to handle payroll processing and accounts payable functions for a busy office in Bossier City. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in QuickBooks and Excel, with a strong understanding of payroll and accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and enter employee payroll documentation into QuickBooks

  • Maintain payroll information in Excel, including employee details, rates of pay, and hours worked

  • Update payroll records with changes in pay rates, exemptions, insurance coverage, job titles, and transfers

  • Receive and verify time sheets and pay employees based on verified reports

  • Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information

  • Respond to payroll inquiries and requests while maintaining confidentiality

  • Ensure compliance with payroll policies, procedures, and regulations

  • Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile financial reports with account balances and office records

  • Process vendor payments, verify federal ID numbers, review purchase orders, and resolve discrepancies

  • Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment and identify discount opportunities

  • Reconcile monthly statements and assist with maintaining accounting ledgers

  • Record, verify, and distribute petty cash

  • Perform other payroll and accounts payable duties as needed

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in payroll and accounts payable required

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
