Human Resources Manager
Location: Shreveport, LA
Salary: $75,000
Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time
Position Overview:
The Human Resources Manager oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the Human Resources Division. This role is responsible for managing HR staff, directing key HR functions, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing guidance in recruitment, benefits administration, employee relations, records management, and workforce development. The HR Manager plays a critical role in supporting strategic planning, improving HR processes, and fostering a culture of professionalism, service, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage HR staff and daily operations of the Human Resources Division
Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Direct recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies
Manage employee benefits, leave administration, and HR-related compliance
Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure proper documentation
Provide guidance and training to staff and supervisors on HR policies and procedures
Support strategic HR initiatives and workforce planning efforts
Monitor HR metrics and prepare reports as needed
Foster a professional and collaborative work environment aligned with organizational values
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of HR experience preferred but not required
Knowledge of employment laws, rules, and HR procedures; willingness to learn and apply them
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with employees, the public, and external agencies
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Detail-oriented with the ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets and formulas
Initiative and independent judgment in decision-making
