Air Permitting Specialist

Position Overview:
We are seeking an Air Permitting Specialist with 2–10 years of experience to manage and prepare environmental permits for industrial projects. This role involves reviewing technical reports, performing calculations, and assembling permit applications to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret environmental data, including air emissions reports
Perform complex calculations related to air quality and pollutant levels
Compile and prepare permit applications for submission to state and federal agencies
Coordinate with regulatory agencies to clarify requirements and respond to inquiries
Maintain organized records of all calculations, data, and submissions
Assist with water and soil permitting as secondary responsibilities
Ensure all work complies with environmental regulations and company policies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, etc.)
2–10 years of experience in air permitting; experience with water and soil permits a plus
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Knowledge of state and federal environmental permitting processes
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working directly with regulatory agencies preferred
