Maintenance Technician – Electronics & Facilities

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic and general facility equipment across parish facilities. This includes telephone systems, alarm/fire systems, metal detectors, x-ray machines, sound and PA systems, card access and duress systems, magnetic and electric locks, CCTV, intercoms, and general office equipment. This role also supports construction, remodeling, building repairs, and painting projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, and install electronic and media equipment for meetings and public events.
Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently; order supplies and materials as required.
Assist with construction, remodeling, and building repair tasks when necessary.
Plan job assignments and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
Supervise subordinate technicians and/or support staff when required.
Maintain strong organizational and problem-solving practices to complete projects effectively.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; advanced electronic training (technical trade school, military, or Associate degree) or minimum six (6) years of relevant experience preferred.
Licenses or certifications as required by law.
Valid Driver’s License.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, reach, stoop, kneel, and work in cramped or awkward positions.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and from ladders or scaffolding.
Lift objects up to 50 pounds.
