Director of Finance – Gaming/Casino
Location: Bossier City, LA
Salary: $110,000–$125,000 + Benefits

Position Overview:
The Director of Finance provides strategic leadership over all financial operations of the property, including accounting, budgeting, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury functions. This role ensures financial transactions align with overall business strategy, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and maintain the integrity of company assets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage financial operations through department directors, managers, and supervisors; provide guidance, counseling, and performance management.

  • Oversee timely preparation and interpretation of financial information, including budgets, forecasts, daily reports, and other data; coordinate with operations management as needed.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls to safeguard property assets and ensure compliance with company policies.

  • Review and ensure accuracy of financial reports and statements; meet all reporting deadlines.

  • Plan and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and profitability.

  • Administer merit programs and performance reviews for all direct reports; identify training needs and coordinate development programs.

  • Monitor departmental financial performance against plans, taking corrective actions to achieve desired results.

  • Collaborate with Human Resources to maintain employee satisfaction, morale, and staff development.

  • Maintain knowledge of gaming laws and regulations applicable to assigned areas.

  • Serve as liaison to Internal Audit, External Audit, and Regulatory agencies.

  • Ensure proper staffing, delegation of authority, and clear communication lines within assigned departments.

  • Stay informed on competitive operations and recommend strategic actions as appropriate.

  • Uphold a professional demeanor reflecting positively on the property and encourage the same in all staff.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including acting as Managerial Representative on premises when required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial management within the gaming/casino industry.

  • Strong understanding of financial operations, accounting principles, and regulatory compliance.

  • Leadership experience managing multiple departments and staff.

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to plan, implement, and monitor processes that improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Knowledge of relevant gaming laws, regulations, and internal audit requirements.
