Job Title: Medical Billing Specialist
Pay Range: $17.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Full-Time - Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Medical Billing Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the full cycle of medical billing processes, including submitting claims, verifying patient information, and resolving billing issues. The ideal candidate will have experience with medical terminology, insurance claims, and billing software, ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement while maintaining strict confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid
- Review and verify patient billing information and insurance coverage
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve discrepancies
- Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Perform other administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in medical billing or healthcare administration preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and insurance claim processes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and medical billing software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
