General Technician

Job Title: General Technician
Pay: $18–$21/hour plus benefits and 401(k)
Job Type: Full-Time

Position Overview:
Responsible for conducting field operations such as sample gathering, data collection, job-specific condition evaluations, and on-site project oversight. Requires travel and physical activity including climbing ladders and working in confined spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform field operations: sample collection, data gathering, condition evaluations
• Oversee specific projects or tasks as assigned (may supervise others during projects)
• Maintain accurate records and documentation
• Travel in and out of town as required

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to qualify for LDEQ certifications (asbestos supervisor, asbestos inspector, lead inspector) for multiple states
• Valid driver’s license required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in small teams

Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret instructions and technical documents
• Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide with whole numbers, fractions, decimals
• Strong reasoning skills to interpret written and oral instructions

Physical Demands:

• Ability to climb ladders, crawl in tight spaces, carry moderate weight equipment
• Must pass pulmonary function test for respirator use and medical exam for PPE
• Frequent extended out-of-town travel required
