Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Location: Shreveport, LA
Pay: $70,000–$76,000/year (Salary)
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
Experience: Minimum 2 years in budgeting, treasury, and accounting

Position Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will coordinate and control business operation costs in line with company policies and budgets. This role aims to maximize resource efficiency and optimize productivity to increase business value. You will lead cost management efforts, manage inventories, and contribute to financial reporting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and control costs of business operations to maximize resource efficiency

• Calculate productivity metrics to identify opportunities for improving business results

• Manage variable costs to ensure compliance with policies and budgets

• Oversee inventory management to optimize operational asset use and accounting accuracy

• Lead initiatives to reduce working capital and improve profitability

• Participate in monthly and quarterly financial closings, business performance reporting, and forecasting

• Collaborate on company strategic projects, including ERP renewal

• Assist in defining the business unit’s yearly operational budget

• Support business case proposals for strategic investments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field

• At least 2 years of experience with budgeting, treasury, and accounting

• Strong analytical and organizational skills

• Detail-oriented with excellent communication skills

• Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
