Job Title: Valve Assembly / Process Instrumentation Technician
Location: Haughton, LA

Position Summary:
Responsible for disassembly, inspection, and assembly of new and repaired control valve products in a fast-paced environment. Perform function testing, documentation, and preparation for blasting and painting. Prepare internal parts for critical dimension checks and machining. Assemble new and repaired equipment efficiently. Test all equipment and instrumentation following quality guidelines.

Principal Job Duties:

  • Perform manufacturing, teardown, and assembly of valves and associated products

  • Operate equipment safely and properly

  • Meet production requirements

  • Follow safety and quality standards

  • Maintain regular attendance

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of valve manufacturing experience or Associate degree/certificate in instrumentation plus 2 years’ experience

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Basic computer skills and data entry

  • Ability to read and understand basic blueprints

  • Forklift operation experience

  • Willingness to work overtime, especially during plant outages and turnarounds

  • Strong communication skills and positive team attitude

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Ability to climb ladders, scaffolds, stairs; work in confined spaces and near loud equipment

  • Use of PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, steel-toe boots required

  • Ability to lift/move 50–100 pounds regularly

  • Ability to stand for 8+ hours daily

  • Physical abilities including hand dexterity, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling

  • Vision abilities: close, distance, color vision, and focus adjustment

Work Environment:

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment (high and low voltage)

  • Occasional exposure to high places, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic chemicals

  • Moderate to occasionally high noise levels
