Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Shipping Coordinator to oversee the shipping and receiving operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and timeliness. This role will be responsible for optimizing available resources, meeting quality standards, and coordinating logistics to ensure smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, transportation logistics, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping & Receiving Management: Ensure that all shipping and receiving processes are carried out efficiently, safely, and on schedule.
• Delivery Coordination: Organize operations in the shipping area according to promised delivery dates, ensuring timely execution of shipments.
• Inventory Accuracy: Ensure accurate system recording of product locations for easy identification and management.
• Supply Chain Supervision: Oversee raw material and finished product handling to maintain inventory reliability and accuracy.
• Shipment Tracking & Reporting: Continuously monitor units in transit, update stakeholders on delivery times, and report potential delays.
• Carrier Coordination & Cost Management: Request and manage transportation quotes from carriers, plan and coordinate loading schedules, and optimize transportation costs.
• Performance Monitoring: Analyze and report on the efficiency of transportation providers and identify areas for cost and performance improvements.

Key Deliverables:

• Compliance with shipping plans and schedules
• Accurate shipping documentation
• Inventory management and avoidance of stockouts
• Optimization of loading times

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and priority-setting skills to manage multiple shipments efficiently.
• Proficiency in inventory and logistics management software to track and update shipments accurately.
• Attention to detail and proactive approach in monitoring and improving shipping processes.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external logistics providers.
• Customer service orientation to ensure customer expectations are met and exceeded.
• Knowledge of transportation and logistics to optimize shipping strategies.
• Cost optimization expertise in transportation and supply chain management.
• Understanding of international customs regulations for global shipments.
• Ability to analyze transportation provider performance and recommend improvements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a logistics, shipping, or supply chain role
• Familiarity with ERP and logistics software
• Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs processes
