Job Title: Application Specialist I - IT / Project Manager
Salary: $68,000 - $70,000 per year (negotiable based on experience)
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Application Specialist I to join our team and provide support for various software applications while assisting in the management of IT projects. In this role, you will leverage your knowledge of different databases and IT tools to help users resolve issues, ensure compliance with operational standards, and provide technical support. This position requires a balance of application support, troubleshooting, and the use of development tools like SQL servers.
As an Application Specialist I, you will serve as a key resource for troubleshooting issues, answering user inquiries, and assisting with both software and hardware-related challenges. The role emphasizes supporting specialized applications that vary in complexity, and you will be expected to participate in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both software and desktop hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and emails from users requesting IT support and assistance.
- Provide technical support to end-user staff, including handling help desk inquiries and delivering end-user training.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with both software and hardware systems.
- Log all requests and provide solutions to users in an organized manner.
- Develop a strong working knowledge of the applications used within the department.
- Assist with application deployments, including installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
- Participate in desktop hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with the IT team to improve operational standards and ensure software runs efficiently.
- Use SQL servers and other development tools to support various business applications.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field.
- Proven experience in help desk support or IT support roles.
- Proficiency in various business-related software suites.
- Experience with SQL servers and development tools (preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for both software and hardware-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively work with end-users and IT teams.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
