Job Overview:

We are seeking a hands-on, driven Branch Manager for a local Credit Union to lead a small but dynamic team, including a Manager, Loan Officer, and a Teller. This position requires a proactive leader who is willing to work directly on the Teller line and Loan Officer desk as needed. The ideal candidate will be passionate about business development and comfortable making lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership – Supervise, mentor, and support a small team, ensuring exceptional service and operational efficiency.
  • Hands-On Support – Step in to assist with Teller and Loan Officer duties during peak times, lunches, or employee absences.
  • Business Development – Actively seek new business opportunities to grow branch membership and lending activity.
  • Lending & Credit Decisions – Conduct loan underwriting, make lending decisions, and guide members through the loan process.
  • Operational Management – Oversee daily branch operations, compliance, and customer service standards.
  • Member Engagement – Build strong relationships with members, understand their needs, and promote relevant financial products and services.

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of Credit Union experience preferred.
  • Management experience highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of loan underwriting, credit analysis, and financial services.
  • A proactive, sales-oriented mindset with a passion for community engagement.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and adaptable in a small-branch environment.
