Part-Time DAYTIME Manufacturing Technology Instructors needed!
1) Pneumatic and Hydraulics: •Develop and deliver course materials focused on pneumatic and hydraulic systems, components, design and applications. •Conduct engaging lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab sessions to facilitate student learning. •Create and evaluate assignments, projects, and assessments to measure student understanding and progress. •Ensure a safe learning environment by adhering to all safety regulations and protocols. •Stay current with industry advancements, best practices, and relevant technologies in pneumatics and automation and hydraulics and fluid power systems. •Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition. •Experience in Mechanical Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications preferred. •Extensive experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems and components, including design, installation, and troubleshooting. •Familiarity with automation and fluid power systems and related technologies. •Knowledge of industry standards and safety practices in pneumatic and hydraulic applications.
2) Programmable Logic and Motor Controls: •Develop and deliver comprehensive curriculum covering motor control systems, including AC/DC motors, control circuits, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). •Conduct lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on lab sessions. •Create and assess assignments, projects, and examinations to evaluate student progress. •Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in automation and control systems. •Provide individualized support to students, including mentoring and advising. •Collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance curriculum and educational programs. •Maintain a safe and productive learning environment. •Experience in Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field. •Proven experience with PLC programming languages (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram). •Familiarity with various PLC brands (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE FOR BOTH: Associate degree in the discipline OR Technical diploma OR demonstrable competencies (see examples below); AND a minimum of two years of relevant full-time experience. (Competency can be gained through a combination of formal education, apprentice programs, work or teaching experience, professional performance in the subject area, industry-based certifications, Career and Technical Trade & Industrial Education (*CTTIE) secondary teaching certifications, and/or qualifications set by the licensing or accrediting organization for the subject area.)
Both positions are for daytime classes with possibility of going full-time once census up. $25/hour, M-Th, primarily in SHV, possibly Mansfield campus involvement.
