Grinder & Shop Helper
Pay Rate: $15/hour
Location: Shreveport, LA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
We are seeking an experienced Grinder & Shop Helper to join a reputable company in Shreveport, LA. This position involves a variety of production support and general labor tasks, requiring mechanical aptitude and attention to safety.
Job Summary:
You will assist with shop operations by safely operating power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes, assembling pallets, preparing shipments, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate grinders, chop saws, nail guns, and other power tools
Build pallets to size for shipment of materials
Safely operate an overhead crane and forklift
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
Maintain accurate inventory and assist with physical inventory counts
Load and unload materials and products
Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Wear proper PPE at all times
Assist with additional shop duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred
Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, forklift, and crane
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic
