Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Control Specialist to perform quality inspections throughout all stages of production. From steel parts and welding to painting, concrete, assembly, and final electrical inspections, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections on steel components, welds, paint coatings, concrete, assemblies, and electrical systems.
- Verify compliance with design specifications, industry standards, and internal quality procedures.
- Interpret and utilize technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions.
- Maintain and update quality documentation, reports, and inspection records.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in process optimization projects.
- Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 quality management systems and industry standards (e.g., B16.9, MSS-SP75).
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Utilize data analysis tools and Microsoft Office (including Access) to track quality trends and KPIs.
Requirements:
- At least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing in metal or steel processing.
- Proven experience in both manufacturing process engineering and quality control.
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and relevant industry standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Access).
- Hands-on experience with CAD software and interpreting technical documentation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with welding operations and knowledge of ASME Sec. IX.
- Certifications such as Certified Quality Inspector (CQI), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), or equivalent.
- Experience in equipment commissioning, installation, or process improvement.
- Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods such as PT, MT, UT, RT, and ET.
- Understanding of advanced statistical process control techniques.
