As an Inventory Associate / Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our warehouse. While this position is primarily focused on inventory management tasks, successful candidates will also spend approximately 30% of their time operating forklifts. This role requires a balance of physical dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to operate heavy machinery safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inventory counts and update inventory records using basic computer applications, such as Excel spreadsheets.
Operate reach trucks and sit-down forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise with precision and safety.
Be responsible for the careful handling of goods, ensuring that products are stored and transported without damage.
Assist in the receiving, unpacking, and checking of merchandise against invoices or orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Comfortably stand for several hours and lift boxes weighing up to 40 lbs regularly throughout the workday.
Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies in inventory levels and propose effective solutions.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory management role is preferred but not required.
Certified or willing to be certified in the operation of reach trucks and sit-down forklifts.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the ability to learn new software quickly.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
Excellent physical condition and endurance, with the ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift heavy objects regularly.
