Job Title: Extruder Operator General Purpose: The Extruder Operator is responsible for the extrusion, pelletizing and packaging process. Safe work practices and good housekeeping are essential components of the job. The operator shall report to the corresponding shift leader. Primary Accountabilities*: • Following all operator procedures • Dumping of gaylords of raw material into totes • Loading and unloading of the dryer • Setting up extrusion run conditions in accordance with the work order. • Feeding the extruder. • Operating the air knife, pelletizer, screener, and packaging airvey system • Preparing gaylords for final product • Sampling of final product • Banding product gaylords • Recording activities on the Extrusion Run Record • General housekeeping • Prepare, weigh, label and record scrap material Qualifications: • Previous manufacturing experience preferred • Must wear steel toe boots and safety glasses • Be punctual with good attendance • Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen • Able to stand for long periods of time • Must be able to lift 35 lbs.
