Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex mechanical, industrial conveyors, welding, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise, a commitment to safety and reliability, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, precision-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment, including conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, and automated systems.
- Read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to identify faults and implement repairs.
- Install, align, and calibrate machinery and equipment to manufacturer specifications.
- Lead or assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for recurring equipment issues.
- Monitor and maintain critical systems (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, boilers, refrigeration) in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
- Mentor and support junior mechanics; provide on-the-job training and technical guidance.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with OSHA, company policies, and equipment safety procedures.
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and plant shutdown/startup activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial facility.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
- Skilled in the use of diagnostic tools (multimeter, vibration analyzer, thermal imaging, etc.).
- Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and mechanical/electrical schematics.
- Welding, fabrication, or machining experience is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
- High school diploma or GED required, technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
- Relevant trade licenses or certifications (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Millwright) are a strong advantage.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, heights, and confined spaces.
- May require working overtime, weekends, or on-call based on operational needs.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
