Quality Assurance Technician

Location: Lewis Center, OH
Pay Range: $23.00–$25.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Enjoy Fridays Off!)

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of mechanical and electrical components, wiring layouts, subassemblies, and final products using advanced measurement tools to ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Follow established inspection protocols and engineering documentation to verify that assembly and testing steps meet both internal and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized quality records, perform sampling and inspections, and prepare necessary documentation for product shipment.
• Support investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions; collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement improvements.
• Coordinate or perform calibration of equipment and participate in first article inspections to validate new product builds.
• Work closely with engineering, production, and leadership teams to ensure quality standards are embedded throughout the production process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 standards.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Experience with IPC 610, J-STD-001, and IPC-620 preferred.
• Strong understanding of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5).
• Proficiency in basic math and Microsoft Word/Excel.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and working in lab, office, and manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
• Basic computer skills including file creation, saving, and printing.

Essential Functions

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods while inspecting components and documenting results.
• Need to frequently move about the lab, office, and manufacturing areas to perform inspections and access equipment.
• Must be able to operate and handle precision measurement tools and laboratory equipment.
• Must be able to move, transport, or position materials weighing up to 40 lbs as required.
• Frequently communicates with team members to exchange accurate information and resolve quality issues.

Work Environment

• Work is performed in a combination of lab, office, and manufacturing environments.
• Occasionally exposed to equipment and tools and may need to wear protective gear such as safety glasses.
• Sometimes exposed to moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
• Works near others and frequently collaborates within shared workspaces.
