Must follow 5S and keep warehouse clean and organized - Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
Understanding of lockout/tagout procedures, and other related safety practices
Previous warehouse maintenance or building maintenance experience preferred
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and schematics
Experience with troubleshooting simple repairs
Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques to ensure equipment reliability
Proficiency in operating and maintaining various power tools. Skill saw, drill/driver, etc.
Knowledge of handyman skills, including cutting, drilling, painting
Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and use of measuring tape
Familiarity with warehouse environments is a plus
Responsibilities:
General Maintenance Technician assists in the maintenance of the warehouse. This includes general maintenance, upkeep, repairs, housekeeping, and improvements of the building.
Make repairs and changes to configurations in the warehouse, includes: painting, moving furniture, relocating signs, drywall, basic plumbing, basic electrical, etc.
Install and hang TV's, relocate small fans, re-beam racks, load up materials to trailers
Perform physical inspections and preventative maintenance on picking carts, cardboard compactor, bailer, battery changer, and cardboard shredder machines
Perform all other maintenance related repairs-miscellaneous facility repairs, and routine maintenance projects as required
All other duties as assigned
Requires a valid driver's license
At times some overtime or weekend work is needed
