Job Summary
A detail-oriented and skilled AutoCAD Designer specializing in 2D design is needed to join a team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in using AutoCAD software to create and modify technical drawings, blueprints, and plans based on specifications and sketches. This role involves collaboration with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D technical drawings, blueprints, and plans using AutoCAD software based on specifications, sketches, and other source materials.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements and refine design concepts.
- Revise and update existing drawings based on feedback from project stakeholders and engineering teams.
- Ensure designs adhere to project standards, industry codes, and regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation of drawing changes, revisions, and project versions.
- Coordinate with other drafters and team members to ensure consistency in drawings and project documentation.
- Participate in design reviews and meetings to discuss design progress and challenges.
- Assist in estimating material requirements and project timelines.
- Stay updated on the latest AutoCAD software, tools, and industry trends.
- May conduct site visits to gather necessary measurements and data.
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent experience in drafting, design, or a related field.
- Proven proficiency in AutoCAD software for 2D design and drafting.
