Job Title: Production Supervisor
Job Description:
Maintain a positive company image while achieving safety, quality, and performance goals in a fast-paced production environment. The Production Supervisor motivates, coaches, trains, and leads employees to ensure efficient workflow and quality production while controlling costs and supporting company objectives.
Pay: $22–$25/hour
Schedule:
- 2:00 PM – Close (typically around 11:00 PM)
- Mandatory Saturdays, flexibility required for weekends/holidays/overtime
Responsibilities:
- Supervise multiple departments and a diverse team of production operators
- Ensure employees are at assigned areas with sufficient workloads to begin shifts
- Maintain timely, efficient workflow across production and soil sort areas
- Enforce safety, cleanliness, and quality standards throughout the facility
- Monitor and coach employees to meet company policies and procedures
- Provide daily and weekly coaching and training for department personnel
- Partner with HR for hiring, training, and employee improvement initiatives
- Approve PTO and leave schedules
- Train employees on company objectives, policies, and safety standards
- Review production and performance goals with management regularly
- Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment repairs and follow up on completion
- Address customer concerns promptly and ensure resolution
- Support 5S plant organization and cleanliness processes
- Prepare and submit performance reports, including promotion recommendations
- Walk production floor regularly to monitor performance and minimize downtime
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Required Skills & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 6 months to 1 year of related production experience
- Ability to stand up to 10 hours per shift
- Ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 800 lbs (on wheels)
- Manual dexterity and ability to bend, twist, and pull throughout the shift
- Strong organizational, training, and problem-solving skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
